In the rainy season, Namibian roadsides are blessed with small, bright yellow flowers. In Afrikaans, they are known as “duwweltjies” translating to “little devils”, and that’s truly what they are when you’re exploring Namibia and you step in a dozen little thorns next to the road, or when they get into your shoes and hook onto your socks. Little devils for sure!
